We are one nation and one people. We are not Republicans or Democrats. We are all Americans, We should continue to pray for Congressman Scalise and his family, With 320 million people living in America, 300 million guns in our country, and 30 million people with some mental illness ...  This is a dangerous combination. Therefore, we need sensible gun regulation now!! Great work by the Capitol Police to avoid a great bloodbath in the shooting incident, My prayers go out to Congressman Scalise and the other victims in these senseless shootings.

In 2000, Peter Palivos and his wife made a substantial purchase of approximately 1,000 apartments in Las Vegas, Nevada. Consistent with his strong sense of community spirit, he installed children's playgrounds and senior programs at his properties.  His efforts were recognized when he received a community award for his service from the Clark County Board of Commissioners.  Since 2000, Palivos has been a supporter of the Boys and Girls Club of America, Catholic Charities, and the American Cancer Society. He also started the "Feed the Orphans" program in Kenya, Africa, which helps meet the nutritional needs of orphans across the continent.

In 2007, Peter Palivos was honored by the Jewish Federation and the Jewish United Fund. Palivos worked with Chicago Mayor Harrold Washington to host a reception for former Greek Prime Minister Konstantinos Mitsiotakis.  Throughout the Reagan, Bush, and Clinton administrations, he worked with former Presidents George H.W. Bush and Bill Clinton to improve Greek-American relations. In 1992, he was appointed by former United States Senators Carol Moseley Braun and Paul Simon to serve on the United States Judicial Commission in the Northern District of Illinois, where he investigated, screened, and recommended candidates for the federal judicial bench, as well as US marshals and US attorneys. In 1994, he began working with Illinois Speaker Michael J. Madigan and The Illinois Trial Lawyer Association to protect consumer rights in the state. In June 2016, Germany was threatening to force Greece out of the European Union by not extending any further financial credit to Greece. The Greek-American lobby again asked for Mr. Peter Palivos' assistance. At that time, Mr. Palivos worked closely with his friends, former US Presidents Bill Clinton and Barrack Obama, and U.S. Senate Leader Harry Reid from Nevada, to exert public pressure upon Germany to resolve its differences with Greece.  As a result of these efforts, on July 7, 2015 former U.S. Secretary of State and Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton stated in Iowa City, Iowa that European leaders had to "exert every effort to work with Prime Minister Tsipras and Greece because Greece is a NATO ally and member of the European Union. The United States has a great, active, successful Greek-American community. So I want to see a resolution.” When the press asked Mr. Palivos about his role, he stated, "I have very humble beginnings from Nestani, Arcadia
